INFORMATION GOVERNANCE

The company is owner of all software licenses, not the technology team. The company—not the technology team--is the owner of all physical property associated with the company IT systems. The company—not the technology team-- is party to every professional service contract related to the IT systems.  The Company pays the IT team's salary and bonus in exchange for the right to manage and direct their behavior. In the event that the company is found to have been grossly negligent in securing the system, the CEO—not the technology team—can be held personally, even criminally, liable for damages.
